EVENING CELEBRATES STAN THE MAN AND HONORS THE MOST INSPIRING MOMENTS AND STORIES OF SPORTSMANSHIP FROM NORTH AMERICA
WHAT: The Musial Awards presented by Maryville University.

WHY: To celebrate all that’s right in sports. Produced annually by the St. Louis Sports Commission and the National Sportsmanship Foundation, the Musial Awards celebrate Stan the Man’s legacy by recognizing the greatest moments of sportsmanship from North America. This marks the 10th year the event has taken place in St. Louis. The program is a fitting tribute to Musial – a beloved St. Louis icon who embodied class and character – and a powerful platform to encourage selflessness, integrity and civility in sports and throughout society.

TV SHOW: In addition to the live awards show on Dec. 5, the Musial Awards will air as a primetime one-hour television special on KSDK-TV NewsChannel 5 on Wednesday, Dec. 16 at 7 p.m. An encore presentation will air on Christmas Day at noon.
